RIATest 4.0 released

Saturday, April 23, 2011

Following successful Beta testing, we are now happy to announce the availability of RIATest 4.0 - the ultimate test automation tool for Adobe Flex applications!

This major new version adds a range of new functionality and improvements requested by our user community. Image based automated tests are now available to allow automation of all types of GUI components including custom components which are not instrumented. Bitmap checkpoints can be used to verify the application visually.

RIATest can now interact with Windows GUI components directly - you no longer need to use 3rd party solutions to automate system level actions such as downloading or uploading a file.

The IDE has been significantly improved by introducing new Callstack, Watch, Object Inspector and Image Repository views. Additional controls have been added to boost debugging productivity.

The RIAScript language now includes 'for-in' and 'continue' statements. The new XML and XMLList objects allow you to access XML data providers of GUI components directly.

We would like to thank all users of RIATest 3 and our recent beta testers for providing us with such valuable feedback for the improvement and development of RIATest .
